The true friend is one who challenges the other to holiness. In other words, real friends make their friends saints by constantly drawing them closer into the joy and passion of Jesus Christ.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and the snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou O Prince of the Heavenly Host, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

The Church must become the traveling companion of young people - and that’s what we mean by youth ministry. If, indeed, "it takes an entire village to raise a child," then it certainly takes an entire Church to journey with young people as they grapple with the Good News and respond in discipleship.
